Influenster Spice VoxBox

Influenster Spice VoxBox Product Review

Disclosure: I received these products complimentary for testing purposes.  All opinions are my own. While I appreciate the opportunity to review products for my readers I do not publish reviews I don’t personally standby to appease sponsors.

I joined Influenster a while back and was super excited when I was finally selected to try the Spice VoxBox towards the end of November. Whats a VoxBox? A VoxBox is a box of hand-picked goodies sent over to bloggers and social media influensters to try and review! Sounds awesome right? It was! Now lets check out what came in my VoxBox.

Yogi Tea

Yogi Tea Review

I am a huge tea drinker. Over the years I’ve weaned myself off of sweeteners so I like to have a tea that naturally has a distinct flavor. Yogi does a wonderful job of  making teas that are flavorful. I hadn’t the Vanilla Spice before I received my sample in the mail but as I sit here drinking it I find myself rather pleased. You can taste the hint of vanilla and while I don’t consider “spice” an accurate description of the tea, that is more than okay with me. If I had to rename it I would call it Vanilla Mint. Not the traditional mint taste that may come to mind but mint none the less. I feel like this would be a great tea to have in the afternoon or while working. It’s taste works as a burst of flavor wakes up your tongue’s taste buds. I didn’t sweeten it but I think that would change the taste and it’s integrity.

I gave this tea 4 stars because while it is good it isn’t my absolute favorite. I tend to like teas with a softer green tea tastes this reminds me of a black tea.

I also like that each bag of Yogi Tea has a quote on the tea bag for you.

Not Your Mother’s – Whip it Up

Not Your Mother's Review

I am the type of girl who likes to do things on the go. This product is perfect for taming my hair first thing in the morning if I’ve slept wild the night before and it’s a little frizzy or tangled.

The smell is amazing! It reminds me of the Vanilla Bean drink you’d get a Starbucks.

It’s a lightweight texture is wonderful and doesn’t weigh down your hair or feel greasy. In fact it adds a shine and manages friz wonderfully! I would totally recommend this to a friend.

Boots Botanics

I have VERY sensitive skin so I’m always hesitant about trying new products on my body, especially my face.  I was excited to see that Boots was 81% organic (a.k.a less likely to be filled with yucky chemicals to break me out).

I’ve been wearing the cream for over a week and I have to admit it does make my skin feel hydrated through the day which is great since it’s dry Texas winter.

The only possible con I’ve found so far is it smells…organic…when you first open it it’s a little earthy but it tones down once you rub it into your face.

Sinful Shine

Sinful Colors offers some vibrant colors in it’s line Sinful Shine. The second coat adds a shine that really is awesome. My only complaint or note would be to be sure that you do a clear bottom coat to avoid staining. I took my nail polish off over a week ago and still have traces of the color on them.

Foot Petals

I love to dress up but I hate heels. I’ve actually said before that “Sometimes it’s too much work to be that high off the ground.” One of my biggest issues with heels is the sliding in open toe shoes. The Killer Kushionz really helps prevent that.

While I wish they had a little bit more padding the design has to be sleek to be invisible in an open toe slide. Great product I’d totally recommend.

Good Health

I love healthy food but when I saw the bag for Good Health’s Veggie Stix I was hesitant. They turned out to be awesome. The perfect side for a sandwich. Crunchy like potato chips but had way more vitamins! While I wouldn’t consider them a healthy snack (I think real fresh fruits and veggies is the way to go) they make nice crunchy replacement for greasy chips or french fries. They get my vote.

Soapbox

Soapboax Hair Care

I am a “buy whatever shampoo is on special” girl but when I got to try Soapbox Shampoo it really opened my eyes. I went on their website and learned that for each SoapBox product sold a person in need gets a bar of soap or a month of clean water. When I found this out I got excited and did some research and discovered these sulfate free products are actually not expensive at all. In fact very comparable with popular brands that don’t make these huge contributions to the world.

My 2 favorite products in my first VoxBox would have to be the Yogi Tea and the Not Your Mother’s!

Have you tried any of these brands before? What’s your favorite?
