June 2016 Goals

I promised myself this month I wouldn’t comment on “how fast the month went by” but boy did it! So much has changed in just a month time and I’ve made some bid decisions about where I’m going with my life, blog, business and career. Let’s just say it was a long time coming. I won’t get into the details now, we will cover that in the June goals section. So lets just see how I did in the month of May.

May Goals

Personal Goals

  • Finish reading Girl Boss.

No. No. No. I really failed at this lol I need to get back into at least a chapter a night. I’ve been prepping so hard for launching m e-course that I have been working late and writing on my lunch breaks which are typically my time for reading.

  • Get the estimate for the hail damage on my car.

I did and boy, do I not want to talk about it. I won’t say the expected cost but I will say I have to get my roof, hood and trunk totally replaced! Stupid hail! 

  • Build a specific budget.

Recently my pay schedule has changed so this made me have no choice but to get m budget together. I also figured out how much I can spend to launch my e-course (launching June 14th!). It’s a free course so this is really just a small investment in my overall brand.

Blog and Freelance Goals

  • Have 305 Facebook page likes

367! I know for  a lot of bloggers that is small potatoes but I am so happy. One really big thing I did was post on my personal Facebook to make sure my friends knew about it. I’m so happy!

  • Have 1625 Twitter Followers

1,766 I really surpassed this goal and couldn’t be happier. Thanks in part to consistent relevant posts and twitter chats.

  • Have 475 Instagram Followers

540! I can’t believe I broke 500. I think this is in big part to The Blogger Life Instagram challenge I participated in this month. I didn’t participate every day but I tried to do it often as well as posting more and trying new hashtags.

  • Have 500 Pinterest Followers

511. Another win. Hopefully, I can keep pushing this up.

  • Increase my email list by 10 people

I am so excited that I hit this goal! I did lose one subscriber but 10 to 1 is a good balance in my opinion. 

  • Create at least one new Resource for my Resource Library

I was on hustle this month an actually added more than one!

  • Post twice a week.

  • Publish 2 posts on other sites.

Why fans still aren’t over McDreamy one year later on SheKnows Media 

  • Finish at least one project. Preferably my Instagram challenge or my e-course and be able to roll it out in June.

I didn’t finish my product but my e-course will be out June 14! I’ll be sharing more details about that next week! 

  • Spend at least 10 minutes a day engaging on each of the above social media sites. That means repinning, responding to tweets of others or seeing what their links are, etc.

As you can tell from my numbers I had a really good month on social media and part of it was not just scheduling but interacting.

Health and Fitness

  • Walk 6,500 steps a day

I didn’t do this everyday at all :/ I hit my walking goal just 8 times in May. The sad thing looking at it now was I was like 1,000 steps or less away most days. Its hard to walk around when your working on a mini-launch plan to get those steps in. 

  • Track all my meals

I actually hit my 90 day streak on my fitness pal at the end of the month!

  • Stick to stage one of the South Beach diet Monday- Wednesday.

I’ve been a little cash poor this month with things going on so while I didn’t stick to this I did make most of my meals at home. Which normally means fish grilled kale and some other veggie! 

  • Finally, sign up for my free membership at the Y and try to go to one glass a week.

Decided against the Y membership for certain reasons I can’t discuss…yet.

 

June Goals

Personal Goals

  • Finish reading Girl Boss. I have to do this. At this point it’s just embarrassing!
  • Enjoy the hell out of my 2 hour massage on Saturday.
  • Find more time to creative write for myself.
  • Have a great mini vacation with my Mom and sister.
  • Book my hotel room for Blogher16. I’ve gotten my plane tickets and conference pass just need a place to sleep.

Blog and Freelance Goals

  • Have 385 Facebook page likes
  • Have 1850 Twitter Followers
  • Have 575 Instagram Followers
  • Have 550 Pinterest Followers
  • Increase my email list by 10 people
  • Create at least one new Resource for my Resource Library
  • Post twice a week.
  • Publish 2 posts on other sites.
  • Finish my e-course and launch on schedule. Launch date: June 14th.
  • Spend at least 10 minutes a day engaging on each of the above social media sites. That means repinning, responding to tweets of others or seeing what their links are, etc.
  • Pick which topic I will use for my first digital product.

Health and Fitness

  • Walk 6,500 steps a day
  • Track all my meals
  • Make meals at home 80% of the time or only eat out 4 times of the week.
  • Work out twice a week.

I have so many things on my mind right now. I can’t believe that the launch is creeping up so quickly. I was just on Skype with my fellow blogger friend Brittany less than a month ago deciding which day I planned to launch the e-course and now.
