On believing in yourself…

8.4.15

What I Think: There are many things that can prevent us from doing things we want to do; time, money, lack of opportunity, fear, but the main thing that stops people from doing the things they want to do is themselves.

We see all these other things as stop signs for success when they are really just excuses we use because somewhere deep down we don’t believe we can do it.

If you really believe you can accomplish something you’ve already convinced your toughest critic and made the biggest step in completing that goal.

It’s easier to say, “I can’t,” than “I can.” “I won’t” instead of, “I will.” But words and thoughts like “I can’t” and “I won’t” are easier because they don’t allow you to fail because they stop you from trying in the first place.

So the next time you think, “I can’t” turn it into, “I can’t stop.” Turn “I won’t” into, “I won’t give up.”

I’m loving this! Everyone needs a little inspiration from time to time. It’s a great reminder to say this to yourself every day as well. Happy Tuesday!

That is very true. It’s amazing how far you can go once you get out of your own way.
