On not giving up…a 2 for 1

If you can’t stop thinking about it, don’t stop working for it.

My Thoughts: Sometimes you need to throw in the towel. Some things just aren’t meant to be and to quote Regina George, “It’s not going to happen!”

But then there are some things that you just can’t let go. Things that consume you and those things you shouldn’t give up on. The career you want, your fitness goal, that book you’ve been writing in your head for the past 3 years… don’t let it go. Give it your all. That way when you’re 95 you aren’t sitting there wishing you’d never given up. Nothing is worse than regret.

People always say giving up is easy, sticking with things is hard. I honestly feel like giving up on something you really want is hard and fighting for something you really want is hard. Both are hard but only one is worth it.

If you spend a year building a blog and it isn’t taking off the way you want you have 3 choices; Keep doing the same thing and getting the same results, give up and don’t even try anymore or come up with a new approach.

The only one of these actions that will result in a happy ending for your blog is to keep trying with a new approach.

Your regrets in life aren’t what you did but didn’t do. So take every opportunity.

If the first quote didn’t encourage you to follow your dreams, maybe this one will.

Life is full of choices and opportunities the problem with opportunities are they are often hidden under a pile of hard work and dedication. If you fight like hell for your dreams and fail you will be fine, you will create a new dream or plan. If you give up on your dream you won’t create another one, you just end up settling and wondering what it could have been.

So tell me:

Which quote do you like best?

What is one goal or dream you won’t give up on?

What is one dream you achieved because you stuck with it?

Tell me about a time you failed and had to move on.
